Carnaby Street Sign

Carnaby is welcoming two new stores to its retail estate this autumn, The Cords & Co. and Finlay & Co.

New concept, The Cords & Co. will open its first UK standalone store in Carnaby this month. The 560 sqft shop will be the first brand on the market to specifically showcase corduroy. Focusing on classic pieces reimagined in a contemporary way, iconic 70s staple corduroy will be making a comeback in bright colours and bold shapes. The brand will showcase exclusive collaborations in store including Alpha Industries, Eastpak and DJ Harvey.

Meanwhile, eyewear and sunglasses brand Finlay & Co. will open its first ever store this October. The 650 sqft store will open at 61 Broadwick Street and aims to revolutionise the prescription optical industry with an experiential flagship store. On offer will be the brand’s best-selling frames as well as a curated edit of 10 other independent eyewear brands from around the world.

“We are pleased to announce two new independent openings, Finlay & Co. and The Cords & Co. to Carnaby this Autumn, complementing the fashion forward direction of the Carnaby destination. Shown through Sweaty Betty’s upscaling, Shaftesbury is also keen to support successful tenants and provide opportunities for development and growth,” says Samantha Bain-Mollison, group retail strategy & leasing executive at Shaftesbury.
